I would stay if I were you too. I’m just not sure there is a great option to jump to at this point. Substack will either get worse or better and time will tell. Either way, we need more voices like yours!
I’ve been thinking about writing here for a few months as I am in prep stage of new project. Then the Nazi issue happened. I’ve been reading & following the pushback - think that’s how I found you! It’s so disturbing. I wasn’t sure to start writing here because of all this ... but I’m sick of ceding ground to Nazis. I agree with your stance. Dark days. We will prevail.
I’m glad you let us know how you are feeling. Your voice feels more vital than ever here. That said, your emotional safety is paramount. I hope you stay and I hope you keep writing, but I will understand if you need to leave, take a break, etc. Sending love 🧡
Robin I am so glad that I found you on Substack. Your essays make me laugh, think, and learn. If people want to fill their minds with hate for others, they should have their own platform to do so and leave the rest of us alone. If you ever do move on, I'll go with you.

It’s a wild ride these days, and we are here together with others too. I trust that more will find their voices here with us. I wonder if you would like to create a group with me on zoom or another platform for trans/nb writers here to discuss our feelings, thoughts about how to protect ourselves, in all the ways, as we navigate this platform within the current climate. I’m a big believer in group process and being held and holding our space with peers. Let me know what you think?
