I think that a group of QT accordionists (is that a word?) need to storm the White House, Capitol Hill, and SCOTUS during Pride month. Accordion playing needs a glow-up, and that would make for a powerful coalition, no? ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🪗

As a kid I really thought playing the accordion (and being proud of it) was too silly even for me. But now I think you’re right, it’s the perfect punk rebellion for us. And very hard to ignore!

I lived in Capitol Hill for a few years. I loved it there. No Pride parades back then, sadly.

Ah, I love first pride march memories! I could see you as a young one in that car. What a wonderfully open response from that adult. It had to be because they were an accordianist!

Maybe those are the most important kind of friendship we can have.

When I came out to one of my friends, she sighed and relaxed and said, “Well duh. I’ve been waiting for you to realize this for years.” And I had no idea she’d been quietly waiting for me like that.
